PSYCHIATRIST AND THERAPIST FOR HIGH-ACHIEVING WOMEN

Care That Elevates and Transforms

This is your invitation for more.

More balance. More joy. More ease.

Sound familiar?

You are at the top of your field. You are the one everyone counts on, the one who holds it together, the one who delivers. You may be the first, the only, or the most competent in the room for so long it has become your identity.
And underneath all of it, something essential feels missing.

Do you recognize yourself here?

Sound familiar?

You are at the top of your field. You are the one everyone counts on, the one who holds it together, the one who delivers. You may be the first, the only, or the most competent in the room for so long it has become your identity.
And underneath all of it, something essential feels missing.

Do you recognize yourself here?

You want care from a real person with similar lived experiences who does not need you to translate your experiences before the real work can begin, right?
Someone who just knows. Someone who gets it.

If you see yourself here, you are exactly who this practice was built for.

WHAT I OFFER

Holistic Psychiatric Care for High-Achieving Women

The care I offer high-achieving women is forward progress oriented.

Meticulously crafted for those ready for change. Ready for transformation. Ready for more.
More pleasure. More ease. More alignment. More satisfaction.
Because why achieve it all if you never achieve satisfaction?

I help high-achieving women bridge that amorphous gap between their future self and their current self. Between what they most desire and where the life they currently inhabit.
I equip women who lead to be sharply clear and self-aware.
I empower them to invest in genuine self-care and sustainability as though their lives depend on it. Because it does.
I equip them with the tools necessary to create and live lives aligned with what they value most in life.
I know, you have learned to look fine. To sound fine. To be fine; but here, you do not have to perform. You do not have to translate. You do not have to earn your care.
Holistic psychiatric care means I treat the whole person: your neurobiology, your nervous system, your history, your identity, your relationships, and your ambitions. We hold all of it, together.

This is not a revolving door practice.
This is a therapeutic relationship.
One built on trust, alignment, cultural fluency, clinical excellence, and a genuine investment in your flourishing, not just your functioning.

ABOUT MY PRACTICE

Why Dr. Hypolite

I am a Johns Hopkins-trained, double board-certified psychiatrist and licensed psychotherapist for high-achieving women, with over 20 years of clinical experience. I have spent my career navigating the intersection of clinical excellence and cultural fluency. I built this practice because I saw a gap: brilliant, accomplished women who were struggling in silence because the care available to them did not speak their language or comprehend their life experiences.
Before dedicating my practice entirely to the women I now serve, I spent nearly a decade as a physician executive in corporate America. You do not have to explain the weight of the rooms you inhabit. I have navigated them too.
I am not a provider who needs you to explain why the microaggressions in the boardroom matter. I already know. You do not need to justify why you are exhausted despite your success. I understand the particular weight of being exceptional in spaces that were not built with your humanity in mind.
My approach is integrative, evidence-based, and deeply human. I combine psychiatric medicine with forward progress-oriented psychotherapy; non-medication, holistic supplement options; and a genuine understanding of the sociocultural dynamics that impact your inner life.
My practice is not a general psychiatry practice. It is a highly specialized boutique practice built for women leaders who are ready to stop surviving their success and start joyfully and fully living it.
I am licensed to provide holistic mental health care for women in Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Washington D.C., Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Missouri, North Carolina, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.
MY APPROACH

My Easeful Excellence Framework

Holistic Psychiatric Care for High-Achieving Women — a six-pillar model designed to address the full complexity of your experience.
01
Holistic Mental Wellness Consultation

We begin with a comprehensive assessment of your mental health history, concerns, and goals for wellness. Not a checklist. A genuine clinical portrait of who you are, what you have carried, and what becomes possible when that load lightens. Together we co-create strategy to elevate your mental health and overall quality of life.

02
Culturally Attuned Therapy for Women Executives

Evidence-based modalities including CBT, ACT, and IFS, socioculturally translated for your lived experiences. Therapy here is not one-size-fits-all.  This is not "blank-slate", detached therapy.  This is also not an elevated vent session.  While I deeply listen to your concerns and experiences, my therapy centers forward progress, amplifies self awareness, prioritizes values alignment, and provides strategy to help you create the life you desire and deserve.

03
Burnout Prevention & Sustainable Excellence

We identify any specific burnout signs that high-achieving women often overlook or dismiss:  hypervigilance, emotional numbness, nervous system dysregulation, overwhelm, , and that sneaky, gradual erosion of joy. Then we build a recovery plan that restores.  The goal is not to make you less ambitious. It is to make your ambition sustainable. We build the internal infrastructure that allows you to continue achieving — without the cost to your health, your relationships, or your sense of self.

04
Identity & Cultural Integration

Your identity is not a complication to be managed . It is a resource to be honored. We explore how race, gender, class, and culture intersect with your mental health, and we do it without pathologizing your experience.

05
Strategic Self Care & Nervous System Regulation

Not basic maintenance. Sustainable lifestyle design built around what your nervous system actually needs to sustainably function at the level you lead. High-achieving women often live in a state of chronic activation. We work to restore your nervous system's capacity for rest, pleasure, and ease — because a regulated nervous system is the foundation of everything else.

06
Holistic Supplements and Medications

The goal is not to make you less ambitious. It is to make your ambition sustainable. We build the internal infrastructure that allows you to continue achieving — without the cost to your health, your relationships, or your sense of self. When needed, I recommend physician-guided, non-medication options, such as natural or holistic supplements, as part of your integrated care plan, to optimize nervous system regulation, restore sleep, and mitigate stress. Medication is prescribed conservatively when it is clinically indicated and aligned with my patient’s preferences. You are never over-medicated. You are precisely supported.

PSTIENT STORIES

What My Patients Experience

These are the words of women who came to my practice exhausted and now experience what they had not felt in years: joy, peace, and ease.

I hate starting with a new provider. This was the first time I walked into a session and did not have to overly explain myself. Dr. Hypolite already understood. That alone is worth the expense of therapy for me. - C.S., Patient

I had been ignoring my stress and feelings for years. Dr. Hypolite gave me language for what I was experiencing and she helped me feel like myself again. -J.L., Patient

I had seen three psychiatrists before Dr. Hypolite. None of them understood my symptoms and what it meant to be the only one in the room. She did not need me to explain. We got to work immediately. -F.D., Patient

I was afraid of medications but knew I needed help. I told Dr. Hypolite that, and I was pleasantly surprised that the supplements she started worked well and I didn't have to start medications. My mood and stress level improved dramatically, and I feel like I'm finally out of a fog. - A.R., Patient

I have been on an antidepressant for years, and when I moved out of state, I was nervous about new doctors trying to change the dose that has been working for years. Dr. Hypolite continued me on my antidepressant without changing it. I trust her with my care, which is a lot coming from me. - B.L., Patient

COMMON QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before taking the next step.
Does Dr. Hypolite accept insurance?

My practice is a private pay practice. I accept credit cards as well as FSA and HSA cards to cover fees for my services. Additionally, I provide superbills that you can use to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits, assuming you have out-of-network benefits and have met your deductible. This structure preserves the depth, privacy, and quality of care that my elevated approach to mental wellness requires.

Additionally, I contract with Alma and on a case-by-case basis allow patients to use some Aetna, Optum, United, and Cigna insurance plans to cover the cost for some (not all) of my services. Please note that my ongoing contracting with and billing of insurance with Alma is not guaranteed, as I am primarily a private pay practice.

Yes. All sessions are conducted via secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. This allows me to serve high-achieving women across multiple states (AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, IL, LA, MD, MO, NC, NJ, NV, NY, PA, TX, VA, and WA) without the logistical burden of in-person appointments. Many of my patients find this format ideal for their schedules. Please note that confidentiality is my utmost priority, and no AI note taking tools are used during my sessions.
I am licensed to see patients who reside in Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Washington D.C., Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Missouri, North Carolina, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.

A psychiatrist is a physician who is trained to both prescribe medications and do psychotherapy. Psychiatrists go to medical school, get an M.D., and do a residency and in some cases a fellowship to practice more specialized psychiatric care.

Psychologists and therapists do therapy. They go to graduate school. Therapists get a master’s degree, and psychologists get a doctorate (PhD or PsyD) in psychology. In addition to therapy, many psychologists are trained to offer academic and cognitive testing.

I offer therapy to my patients who do not already have a therapist, when my style of therapy and availability for therapy align with my patients’ needs. My therapy is culturally attuned, evidence-based, forward progress oriented, and curated for women in leadership, ages 25-60. Alignment is foundational to my framework, and given that psychotherapy is not one size fits all, during the initial consultation and first few appointments, I carefully assess whether the therapy I offer is best suited for someone’s individual needs and preferences. My psychotherapeutic approach integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), alongside nervous system regulation; and in some cases, physician-guided, non-medication supplements to optimize mental wellness. When working with me as your therapist, your care is fully integrated: you benefit from the expertise of a psychiatrist and a therapist, at the same time, stewarding your care, and ensuring cohesive support thoughtfully tailored just for you. Note that some forms of my therapy are private pay only and cannot be accessed via insurance. These details are discussed during your initial consultation.
Yes, I am a Johns Hopkins trained double board certified psychiatrist, and I prescribe medications when clinically indicated and desired by my patients. Medication is approached thoughtfully and conservatively and is never the only intervention. My care plans are holistic, personalized, and address the health and wellness of the entire person. Please note that I do not prescribe controlled substances in practice.

Evidence-based, physician-guided supplements are integrated into my care plans where clinically appropriate. This is not trend-driven wellness advice. I have expertise successfully integrating individualized, clinically informed use of herbal and nutritional supplements to enhance nervous system regulation, stress management, and restorative sleep.

There is an incredible amount of misinformation about nutritional and herbal supplements. With the growing popularity of social media and mental health influencers, many of the people offering “guidance” about using supplements to treat mental health conditions do not have the formal medical training or the level of expertise necessary to safely assess someone’s health status and recommend appropriate use of supplements. Supplements can have powerful effects. That can be good, or that can be dangerous. My stance is that use of supplements should be guided by physicians with the expertise to recommend the right supplements for the right conditions and to navigate potential complications like side effects, interactions with drugs and other supplements, and determining which brands and types of supplements are likely to be safest, helpful, and cost effective.

Taking advice from friends, social media influencers, and even ChatGPT is one way to go, and it carries countless risks. Working with Dr. Hypolite for physician-guided, safe, effective, and vetted holistic care and supplement management is the more elevated way to go.

Working with me is like working with someone who deeply knows and sees you but also happens to be a psychiatrist, therapist, and expert in self care. While professional boundaries are maintained, our sessions are warm and geared towards helping you live the life you desire and deserve. We laugh and learn a lot and sometimes there are tears, but healing and growth are the agenda. Many describe it as a breath of fresh air and a safe space to be heard and restored.

Here’s how it works: After submitting a consultation request form, I will review it and get a sense of whether my services may be a good fit. This is a first glance look. I will get a better sense once the consultation is complete. If based on your consultation request form it appears that my services may be a good fit, I will send you an intake form to complete.

Our first interaction is the mental wellness consultation. (Some providers call this a psychiatric evaluation.) I will conduct a comprehensive clinical assessment of your past and current experiences with mental health. We will explore your current needs and concerns, and upon completion (usually takes 1 to 3 sessions), I will share my assessment and language for what you’re experiencing clinically and provide recommendations that address your needs and help achieve your wellness goals.

My mental wellness consultation is a standalone service that offers invaluable insights and recommendations.

After the consultation, if we both agree that we are a mutual fit for ongoing care, we then proceed with implementing your care plan, which may include any of the following: strategy for lifestyle enhancement, therapy; supplements for sleep, nervous system regulation, and stress management; or medications for depression or anxiety depending on your needs and desires.

While results vary from person-to-person and there are no guarantees in mental health, most of my patients experience significant improvements within 2 weeks of their initial consultation, and go on to experience continued improvements as we partner to optimize their wellness and care plan.

With my framework, my patients tend to not just get back to their prior baseline but actually reach a higher level of wellness and satisfaction in life than they ever have before; and there are few things that bring me more joy than that!

My practice is a women’s mental health practice, designed with the specific stressors, lived experiences, and clinical presentations of high-achieving Black women in mind. With that said, I welcome high-achieving women of all backgrounds who align deeply with this work and are ready to take action.
Mutual alignment is the foundation of my work with my patients. I believe that the quality of the relationship between patient and provider greatly impacts outcomes. In fact, studies have shown this. As a result, my process begins with assessing mutual fit and alignment. The first step is to request a consultation or a 15-minute introductory call (non-clinical/no treatment provided) to explore if my services align with your wishes and needs. I invite you to take this step towards the softer life you desire and deserve!
