Achieved the goals.
Earned the degrees.
Gotten the promotions.
You have built something truly extraordinary.
But sometimes when you pause long enough, you sense that somewhere along the way, somewhere amidst all the wins, you lost a part of yourself you are yearning to find again.
This is what high-functioning depression and high-functioning anxiety look like in Black women who lead.
Not breakdown.
Just a quiet, persistent dimming of your light.
But there is a better way, and you deserve it.
Care designed precisely with your nuanced needs in mind.
Many find that conventional mental health care was not built with our histories, discerning standards, and layered needs in mind. It was not designed for the complexity of who you are, the caliber at which you operate, or the particular demands of being a Black woman who has mastered excelling in rooms that were never quite designed with her full humanity in mind.
My approach is different.
I offer a gentler, more intentional path. In my treatment for depression and anxiety, I do not rush to prescribe. I do not treat you like a diagnosis or a checklist. I partner with you to find what honors what you value and what will help you feel whole again.
This is not general psychiatry, one size fits all mental health care, or unvetted wellness trends. I offer specialized, culturally attuned care for Black women who excel and lead across every industry and who find themselves wanting more from life than what achievement alone can offer. You will not spend your sessions explaining your world. You will be met in it because I understand.
Mental health care is no longer just therapy and medications. In addition to my conventional psychiatric training and expertise, I have spent hundreds of hours studying holistic treatments for depression and anxiety. When needed and desired, I prescribe highly effective, scientifically validated supplements and lifestyle supports.
The goal is not merely to eliminate or reduce symptoms and illness. Don't we deserve more than that? My goal is to partner with you to understand what your nervous system is communicating and address it at the source, so that relief is real and lasting.
This is a physician-owned micro-practice with minimal staff. I do not contract directly with insurers, so my care is not dictated or surveilled by insurers. Your care is handled with the same discretion that your personal and professional lives require.
The relentless stress. The overthinking that does not stop even after the workday ends. The hypervigilance and capacity to manage intense demands that have become so familiar to you that you no longer register it as stress. You are highly functional, resourceful, and capable of juggling what most people would drop. You are accomplished, successful. Your performance exceeds others' expectations. AND you are exhausted, overwhelmed, and overextended. At some point, something has to give, right?
You are still producing. Still leading. Still present for everyone who needs you. And underneath it all, there is a heaviness, a loss of joy, a disconnection from the life you worked so hard to build. High-functioning depression is real, it is underdiagnosed and often goes unaddressed, and it deserves treatment from someone who understands and has the expertise, credentials, and years of experience to help you overcome it.
When years of over-functioning finally register in your body as depletion. The fatigue that sleep and vacations do not fix. The irritability that does not match who you know yourself to be. The creeping sense that something has to give. Burnout is not a character flaw. It is a physiological and emotional response to a demanding life lived without reprieve.
You will not be undertreated or overmedicated.
You will not be rushed.
Every decision is made in partnership with you, grounded in your values, your goals, and
the quality of life you long for.
This work is not only about returning to who you once were.
It is also about arriving at who you were always called to be.
Most women who work with me do not simply recover.
They discover a higher baseline, a truer version of themselves, one who leads with greater confidence and clarity, lives with greater intention, and moves through the world with a sense of ease they had stopped believing was available to them.
This work is transformative.
And you are worth that.
Women who commit to this work tend to experience greater emotional ease and more bandwidth for the people and moments that matter.
More energy.
More rested.
More calm.
More presence.
And a pace that does not require you to sacrifice your peace. And perhaps most meaningfully: the return of joy. Not happiness performed.
Deep, lasting, authentic joy.
Not every woman who comes to me needs or wants prescription medication for depression and anxiety. Some women are sensitive to medications, have had side effects with antidepressants, or prefer not to use medications for a variety of reasons. I meet you where you are and offer holistic options that are often just as effective as medications for mild to moderate depression, anxiety, stress, and burnout. When symptoms are more severe, supplements are typically not the most effective path forward, and I will tell you that clearly.
This is not supplement use driven by social media trends, internet influencers, or well-meaning friends. When I partner with you, I offer carefully vetted, physician-led supplement protocols that are safe, evidence-guided, and designed to support healthy mood, stress management, burnout recovery, nervous system regulation, and restorative sleep.
I have done the work.
I have spent countless hours getting advanced training in holistic and integrative psychiatry, all so that I can offer my patients the most options and highest standards of care.
Please note that I do not prescribe controlled substances in my practice. More details can be found on my FAQ and my consultation request form.
I have over twenty years of experience. I am a Johns Hopkins-trained, double board-certified psychiatrist who also practices as a therapist. As a Black woman, I have lived the experiences I now treat. My understanding of burnout did not come from a textbook; I spent over a decade experiencing it firsthand, then studied my way out of it, and have since helped hundreds of women achieve the same.
My practice is not a volume business. You will never be treated like a number. Your needs will not be reduced to a 15 minute session. I offer an intimate, carefully curated space for women leaders who are ready to thrive rather than merely survive and for women who are ready to take action to live the lives they have always longed for.
When you work with me, you receive the combined expertise of a psychiatrist, a therapist, a lifestyle consultant, and a woman who understands your world from the inside. You will not need to translate. You will not need to justify. You will simply be seen.

After every session, I leave with so much insight I have to rush to write it all down immediately. Dr. Hypolite has a way of getting to the source of things so quickly. I feel so seen and affirmed. I don't know why I waited so long to do this.
I did not know how much I needed this. I just knew I could not keep going the way I was. I feel so much calmer and in control. I don't get triggered the way I used to. I handle problems with ease. My priorities, values, and vision are so clear now.
In medicine, we are taught to put everyone's needs before our own. Dr. Hypolite helped me put healthy boundaries in place and now I no longer feel burned out. I would have given up my career as a physician if I had not found her.
